In 2025, we are also holding auditions for our Competition Ballet and Hip Hop Troupes. These troupes include:

• Junior Ballet Competition Team (Wednesday 20th November)

• Inter/Senior Ballet Competition Team (Wednesday 20th November)

• Junior, Inter & Senior Hip Hop Troupe (Monday 18th November)

About the Auditions

Each audition will last between 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the age group. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of our senior instructors, including myself. The audition will consist of:

• Technique Demonstration

• 1-2 Routines in different dance styles

• Improv Session: Students will dance for approximately 30 seconds to a randomly selected piece of music

• Trick Line: A chance to demonstrate acrobatic skills or impressive technical moves (such as leg mounts, splits, or jetés).
  Note: We aren’t looking for the most complicated tricks, but we encourage students to highlight their strengths.

Students can prepare and rehearse their tricks before the audition.

 

These auditions are open to both current RSD students and those from outside the studio. If you know friends or family who are passionate about dance, we welcome them to apply and join our troupes.
