Shannen Cass

Shannen, RSD Studio Director, started dancing when she was two years old. Shannen always dreamed of owning her own studio and creating a space where dancers could feel nurtured and inspired.
Shannen completed her full time studies at Patricks School of the Arts and went on to perform in a number of shows, most notably Le Grand Cirque, Fashion Aid and many more. Before opening the studio in 2015.
With over 12 years teaching experience, Shannen prides herself in providing a safe and supportive studio which has strong family values.
Peta Byrne

Peta, is a former professional classical ballet dancer and has been teaching Cecchetti ballet for over 30 years. She holds a Diploma of Dance from Victorian College of the Arts, and Advanced Diploma in Teaching from the The Australian Ballet School and is also a Licentiate with Cecchetti Ballet School.

Sophie graduated from Spectrum Performing Arts and has travelled extensively around the world, acting and performing in musicals. After returning from Canada and the US, Sophie played Serena in Legally Blonde the Musical. Sophie has performed in many short films and television and we are just so delighted to have Sophie's energy and experience at RSD!
Ben Uili

We are excited to welcome Ben to our faculty as Head of Hip Hop. Ben is one of the pioneers in NZ Hip Hop and is a huge addition to RSD. He's choregraphed for Eurovision, UK X-factor, taught all over Europe and the USA and directed and choreographed music videos.
Ben will be leading our Hip Hop classes and heading our very first Hip Hop Troupe.
Claire Shiels

Claire started dancing at Bev Palmer Dancers at the age of 3. She danced in all forms of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. As she got older, she also took acrobatics classes and singing lessons.
Claire studied full time dance at Patricks Studios Australia and has performed at many corporate events, competitions and fashion shows. Claire has been a cast member of many productions including the Wizard of Oz, Oliver, Boy from Oz, Kismet and Le Grande Cirque.
Dylan Speedy

Dylan has grown up in a dance family, his mother owning a dance school. He developed his love of all styles of dance, especially hip hop, tap and acrobatics. At a young age, Dylan starred in The Boy from Oz alongside Hugh Jackman. Most recently, he has wowed audiences all over the world on board Princess Cruises and also performed in Paris Disneyland. He also performed in Twisted Broadway with some of Australia's well known musical theatre and dance professionals for charity. We are excited to welcome Dylan as our resident Tap and Acro teacher on Thursday night.
Casey Chellew

Casey is extensively trained in lyrical, contemporary, ballet and jazz, with a passion towards choreography. Casey trained and completed her Certificate 4 in Dance Teaching and Management at Transit Dance and has completed her Bachelor of Creative Arts at university. Casey is the director of Melbourne based contemporary company, Indefinite Dance Company and is an award winning choreographer; her work being chosen to be performed at such events including Grounded: Battle of the Arts, RAW: Natural born artists, VDF Gala and Dream Dance Company’s Industry Night in Sydney.

Jason Law is a Professionally Trained Dancer, Choreographer & Creative Director, He is highly experienced in a range of styles from ballet, jazz and tap to contemporary, hip-hop and musical theatre which has enabled him to broaden his career from dancer to teacher to choreographer & Adjudicator. His study across all areas of the arts including dance training at Robert Sturrocks “Industry Dance” vocal training with Dean Lotherington, acting training with Richard Sarelle and Male Modelling with Tanya Powell, has facilitated his soaring career.

Cassidy started dancing at a young age, dancing in all styles. After school, she completed her Full time training at Patrick Studios Australia. Cass became a cheerleader for Melbourne storm and performed at many corporate and private functions. Cass is a versatile dancer, who can dance in all styles.
Megan Hedges

Megan started dancing at a young age and has been a dancer herself at RSD Studios for over 10 years.
She teaches and nurtures all the junior dancers and is a much loved Ready Set Dance teacher to our youngest students. She also teaches jazz, ballet and lyrical.
Megan has just completed her bachelor degree in Nursing and will start her new career in 2021 whilst being an integral part of the RSD teaching faculty.
Jade Piva

Jade started dancing at the age of 8 to be with her friends who also loved to dance. She has a passion for Hip Hop and Commercial Jazz and has been dancing at RSD Studios for many years as an Elite dancer.
In 2021, Jade will complete her full time dance at Patrick Studios Australia.
Amanda Delaine

Amanda started gymnastics at a young age and commenced her dancing career at age 11. She has a passion for Acro, lyrical, jazz and contemporary and has been dancing at RSD Studios for many years as an Elite dancer.
During 2021, Amanda will complete her full time dance at Patrick Studios Australia.
