What is VET Dance?
The VCE VET Dance program is drawn from a national training package and offers a portable qualification which is recognised throughout Australia.
VET Dance is a two year vocational program which is delivered to Years 10, 11 and 12 students and contributes to the achievement of their secondary school certificate.
The course has been designed to:
​
- Develop a range of transferable skills to help students succeed in their chosen pathway following VET dance,
​
- Develop dance and choreography skills
​
- Develop sound understanding of safe dance principles to support students longevity in dance
​
- Enable students to participate inn further training in an area in which they are passionate about while completing their secondary school certificate.

This qualification is delivered through partnership arrangements with RSD Studios who is delivering this course on behalf of Ausdance VIC (RTO 20949). Ausdance VIC is the recognised Peak Body for Dance in Victoria.
Unique to the AUSDANCE Vic Program
Through our partnership with Ausdance and RSD Studios, students gain access to exclusive Industry Days, featuring cross-genre workshops, expert Q&As, networking opportunities, and a mock audition experience.

Students also receive free AUSDANCE Vic membership for the duration of their enrolment, with full access to member benefits.
Does This Course Contribute Towards My ATAR?

Yes! Students wishing to receive an ATAR contribution for VCE VET Dance must undertake scored assessment. This consists of three coursework tasks, worth 50% of the overall study score, and a performance examination worth 50% of the overall study score. Scored assessment is based on Scored units 3 and 4 sequence of VCE VET dance which the VCAA has endorse. Students can also choose to complete 3 & 4 VET Dance sequence as an unscored progrom

At RSD Dance Studios, we offer VET Dance classes every Tuesday:

Year 1 & 2: 5:00pm – 8:00pm
